With over 20 years of experience in secondary and post-secondary education, Dr. Adrianne Wilson is a tenured associate professor at the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. As a distinguished leader, she is also the director of the Master of Educational Leadership program, and the chair of the education department at her institution. She is also a published author in her field of educational leadership where her research

focuses on best practices for school leadership, school leadership preparation, and wellbeing for school leaders. Dr. Wilson is also a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion at her university and has made significant contributions in this area at the University of Tampa.


Dr. Wilson also has extensive clinical and teacher preparation experience, as she previously served as an instructional evaluator and mentor for Hillsborough County Public School District, as well as the clinical coordinator for secondary internships at her current institution, University of Tampa. As a clinical researcher, Dr. Wilson is the co- developer of the Educator Disposition Assessment (EDA) and the Educational

Leadership Disposition Assessment (EDLDA), two disposition assessments used nationally by teacher and educational leadership preparation programs.


Dr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Science Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the

University of South Florida. She is also a John Maxwell certified trainer and coach and is a board member and secretary for the Florida Association for Professors of Educational Leadership.
