Inger McGee currently serves as the Director of Assessment and Accreditation in the College of Education and Human Services at the University of North Florida. In this role she oversees the collection and analysis of data in the College’s quality assurance system, and she provides leadership in continuous improvement efforts for all of the College’s professional programs. Inger received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in Elementary Education. She received a Master’s degree in Teaching and Teacher Education from the University of Arizona. Inger also received a doctorate in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden University.



Inger has 28 years of experience as an educator, with 17 years spent in teacher education preparation. She worked for 9 years as an assistant and later associate professor in the elementary education program at the University of Arizona, South campus. Inger began her education career in the classroom as a teacher. She taught 1st and 2nd grade classes for three years at Butzbach Elementary, a Department of Defense school in Germany. She taught multiage and looping 1st/2nd grade classes in Arizona for 8 years. Inger led school-wide professional development in retelling for comprehension and also led school-wide professional development goals that included using protocols to look at student work. Inger served as a consultant for the Southern Arizona Writing Project, a local affiliation site of the National Writing Project, from 2000 to 2016 and during that time she assisted in preparing as well as in providing a number of literacy professional development opportunities in writing for teachers and schools.
