YOLUNDA BEALE
Manager of Regional Support
Dr. Yolunda Beale is the Director of Regional Support with an extensive background
in education spanning over two decades. Her academic journey began at Tennessee
State University in Nashville, TN, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary
Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration
in Reading. Driven by a desire to broaden her expertise, Yolunda pursued a second
Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Walden University in
Minneapolis, MN. She culminated her academic pursuits with a Doctorate in
Organizational Development, concentrating on Organizational Leadership, from
Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.
A deep commitment to teaching and teacher development has marked Yolunda’s
career in education. She has enriched the learning experiences of both elementary
and middle school students and has played a pivotal role as a mentor teacher for
preservice educators. This experience ignited her passion for teacher development,
leading her to transition from a classroom teacher to an instructional coach. At MTR,
Yolunda excelled in various roles, including Instructional Coach, Residency Director,
and Director of Coaching.
In addition to her roles, Yolunda has shared her expertise as an adjunct professor for
the past nine years. She has taught a range of courses, including Classroom
Leadership, Cultural Foundations, Capstone, and Reading Assessment, further
demonstrating her dedication to advancing the field of education.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Yolunda finds joy in binge-watching shows with
her husband and embraces her role as a mom to her two bonus children. These
personal passions provide her with balance, fulfillment, and fun.
